MSC 2024 - Lunch Debate
Together with the Conference of European Rabbis (CER), the Abraham Accords Institute hosted a Lunch Debate at the Munich Security Conference 2024. We dedicated ourselves to the topic as an official side event:
Jewish Communities and Western Societies Under Attack - New Security Concepts Modeled After the Abraham Accords
The panelists were Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, U.S. Special Representative of the State Department for Recording and Combating Anti-Semitism, Chief Rabbi of Moscow Pinchas Goldschmidt, Prof. Peter R. Neumann and former Minister President Armin Laschet MdB.
The panelists spoke about the challenges for Jewish communities worldwide resulting from the tensions in the Middle East. This was based on the experience of over three years of the Abraham Process, which specifically includes the perspectives of cultural and religious traditions in security strategies.
Presentation of the exhibition "We Are Creation"
On the occasion of COP28 in Dubai, the Abraham Accords Institute has commissioned a photo exhibition that explores the cross-cultural heritage of the three monotheistic faith traditions on mankind's treatment of creation. The theme of the exhibition is our collective responsibility for the planet and the protection of the environment.
The exhibition was presented at COP28 in the "Faith Pavilion" on the Expo site and at the annual conference of the German Council for Sustainable Development in Berlin.
In the context of the Munich Security Conference 2024, the exhibition was an impressive example of how the Abraham Accords mobilize countries' cultural heritage to create an inclusive and positive vision for the future of the entire region.
The presentation took place at the Galerie Ruetz store in Munich.
